Mobile World Congress 2009
The mobile phone congress started today over in Barcelona with a range of new devices and software already announced. There’s a live video feed on the website running the length of the congress.
There are some pretty slick looking UI designs, like Sony’s upcoming Idou:

Microsoft have just held their conference, where they’ve demonstrated Windows Mobile 6.5. The first thing I noticed is that they still seem to have stuck with a typically Windows (ugly) icon set.
The new HTC Touch Diamond 2 runs the Windows OS but with a much nicer looking icon set — along with a very nice physical design and build quality.
