Animations from fantasy worlds
I‘ve been inspired today by the art direction from two games, Dante’s Inferno and Prince of Persia. Not only do these animations bring in some beautiful illustration (Prince of Persia), but they also include some really nice type (Dante’s Inferno) and stunning visual effects.
The first is from an upcoming game called Dante’s Inferno, based on the poem. There is a trailer up on Motionographer, and if you’re interested in the game Giant Bomb has an interview with the Creative director, exec producer, and co-writer.
As I’ve been trying to fit in time to play through more of Prince of Persia on Xbox 360 I’ve come to appreciate how pretty the art really is, you can check the trailer on the UbiSoft website. The website for the game has one of the best intro sequences I’ve seen, and about the only time when I didn’t even look for skip intro button!
