I’m an Australian born digital design director currently working at LBi in London. Most of my time is spent overseeing the design execution of interactive graphic languages for digital mediums such as the Internet and mobile. I also work with clients and project managers to help them develop creative briefs and processes for digital design strategies; UX designers to build appropriate content driven interaction patterns; and developers to ensure creative direction is maintained. I am also interested in developing and educating new design and communication theories and best practices.

I have worked in digital design since 1996 in studios and agencies across four countries; Australia, Japan, the UAE and the UK. I’m passionate about the craft of design (type, colour, grid systems etc), interactive entertainment, photography, and interaction and Internet technology. You can view a selection of my work or photography, follow my tweets about games and interactive entertainment and/or view my resume.

New UI design opportunities are becoming available as we adopt 3D technologies, augmented reality and gesture based control. Screens will evolve from rectangles that we look through, in to destinations we can move in to. While augmented reality enables the user interface to exist along side the real world.
