Games are introducing innovative UI elements that exist within the game world. After reading through a Thesis and a few articles on game interface design I examine the different types of UI elements, separating them in to categories and providing examples of their implementation.

Classic information design
Here’s a few beautiful older interfaces in the form of gauges, switches and buttons that I’ve come across while undertaking some preliminary research for an upcoming project. There aren’t many interfaces in production now that reach this level of craftsmanship.
